Art 1 students begin the year working on daily assignments. Every student has an Art 1 workbook. As the year progresses Students will work from workbooks to Major Art projects to achieve a better understanding of the Elements of Art and the Principles of organization. On this page, major projects are listed by quarter. Major projects can be viewed in the Art 1 Gallery. Just click the tab above to visit the gallery.

Quarter 1
Learning Objective: Students will create a Graphic Design Art Piece from three
letters. California Visual Arts Standards: 2.1 Solve a Visual Arts Problem that involves the effective use of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. General Requirements: Students must make letters stretch from top to bottom and left to right of one triangle. Students must trace in sharpie. Requirements for an A: Students must incorporate two of the the following into their Art: * Warm and Cool Colors *Contrast *Shading and Value |
