Art 2 Studio
Art 2 Students begin the year with an intensive drawing program. Students focus on the following drawing skills:
*using measuring tools to understand accurate proportion,
*negative and positive shape drawing,
*contour line drawing
*light and shade.
Progression
As students advance throughout the year they apply these skills to more traditional art mediums in colored pencil, chalk pastel, acrylic and watercolor paint. By the end of the year Art 2 students experiment with working on 3D projects ranging from mask designs to arm casts to carving and sculpting projects.
